Alas, poor Yorick!

"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio;..."

From cute, to cutely dramatic. I commissioned xenokurisu to make me a picture of my interpretation of Maggie Simpson, in which she is 7yo (to Lisa's 8yo), and just as devoted to the humanities as Lisa is to the sciences.

Here, Maggie is rehearsing the famous "skull scene" from Hamlet. I made sure to get the opening part of the monologue correct (it's often misquoted as the sentence "I knew him well." It's actually the first part of a longer sentence), as Maggie being a member of the Springfield Elementary drama club would not want to make such an...elementary...mistake. *rimshot* Yes, Maggie is playing the role of Hamlet; she did such a good audition, Principle Skinner picked her. The King, Hamlet's murderous uncle, is played by a surprise turn by...Nelson Muntz!?!?!! Haw haw!
