Who Babes - Polly + Victoria

My third and final commission of a Doctor Who pic that I paid for, and his art continued to improve. He did ask me kindly afterwards though to never commission him to draw live-action TV characters again though, which is kind of a pity, 'cos the last one (Zoe and Nyssa) and this one were actually pretty damn good.

So, in this picture you get Polly Wright (joined the 1st Doctor in "The War Machines" along with Ben Jackson, left the 2nd Doctor in "The Faceless Ones" along with Ben Jackson at the exact same day and time they first walked in the TARDIS (which is the only time THAT ever happened! ). She's very much a girl of the 60s, so I went with typically bright, geometric patterns like she might've worn to any of the top London night spots. She's in colour to make her 60s style clothing look that much more garish.

On the right is the 2nd Doctor's companion who joined in the story after Polly left, the lovely lady Victoria Waterfield (not an actual titled Lady, but still quite posh). Of course, she was all very prim and proper at first, being a teenager from the 1860s (and still ahead of her fellow companion, Jamie McCrimmon, by a good 115 years! ) brought up to be decidedly upper-middle class. She hated wearing dresses that were any less than ankle-length.

Well that lasted all of her debut story before they realised that full length evening gowns did not make good fanservice for the dads in the audience. She ended up going quickly into miniskirts and veering into some hippie style fashions like the one above, and left the Doctor to be adopted by a 1960s family (her own having died in her debut adventure).
