Siblings: Two older brothers, Arrow (14) and Air (13). They love her, but they also love to play jokes on her.
Parents: Happily married. Father is a professor with the London Universitynet of Ancient Languages. Mother is a volunteer youth worker.
Pets: 1, a little kitty called Kiki.
Modifications: Neural implants (just above her ears) for direct brain access to accessible computer systems in the vicinity. A lot more effective and efficient than old-fashioned peripheral I/O devices.
Fashion choices: Wears light, tight tops and shorts, like most girls her age on Earth, and usually also her null-gee sandals. These work by using a combination of EM and anti-gravitons to simultaneously attract and repel her sandals from both her feet and the ground, allowing her to hover and walk on air. Have surprisingly good traction except when interfered with by kids using a handheld degausser as a prank. They're also really helpful for anyone who is used to walking in lower gravity environments, who has come to visit or live on Earth.

Jet was born in the year 2186, on Mars. By this time, there are a few small colonies on Mars, and even a couple on other planets in the solar system, as Earth's population continues to rise and we have begun to spread off-world in order to explore our surroundings more. Her parents had been born on Earth, but were living on Mars when their first son Arrow was born, and another (Air) a year later, and then Jet a few years after him. All three children were born at the Holly Mackenzie First Mars Hospital. They decided eventually to return to Earth to be closer to extended family. The population on Earth may now be 20 billion, but it doesn't really feel that much more crowded than in Holly's day.

Technology has progressed immensely in the next 150-200 years, with null-gee emitters allowing objects to experience near-weightlessness even being used in popular fashions to allow the wearer to walk on air! There are also wide use of force fields, being operated around the off-world colonies rather than solid domes, and work is underway to terraform the Moon and allow Luna 1 (the first Lunar colony, first off-world colony anywhere in fact) room to grow. Other colonies are in operation on Europa and Titan, and there is sustainable farming in the asteroid belt. With the level of development in what was previously the internet, computer hacking and viruses have become a thing of the past, though samples of such digital malware are stored for safe examination in The Vault (a government storage facility).
